Ramanya, the birthplace of mine

Sitting on my bed and looking out of window
silent snow's falling down.

It is full of books and luxury
in my isolated room.

  My mind and dreams are running
  from mile to mile
  to be at my birthplace.

  Playing with my childhood friends
  in the rain between banana trees
  being so happy.

  Dancing to the amused sounds
  of Mon Kyam-zither
  is ever merrier.

  Eating sour fruit with chilli-salt
  together with my family
  is so funny.

Oh! So lovely in my Ramanya Thani

  My birthplace,
  where I always want to return.
  But I can't,
  because the "Axis of Evil"
  is still in contral.

The Burmese army often accuses local Mons people as rebel sympathizers, killings, rapes, forced labours, and lands confiscating by the army are widespread in the areas.
After land confiscation, the Mon farmers in the surrounding areas greatly suffered as below;

Suddenly being deprived of employment
Deterioration in social life
Population Displacement and Flux of Refugees
Migrating into Thailand
